Forbearance Agreement

« Back to Glossary Index

Forbearance Agreement is an agreement between a lender and a borrower where the lender suspends payments on the mortgage to allow borrower to make up for delinquent payments. Instead of initiating the foreclosure process, the lender may negotiate this option with the borrower if the borrower has missed payments as a result of job loss.
